Consumer products company Colgate-Palmolive Co. said its chief executive officer Rueben Mark will retire on July 1. Mark will remain chairman for up to 18 months after that date. The company said it will elect Ian Cook, president and chief operating officer, to become chief executive when Mark retires. Mark began his employment as chief executive in 1984.
